It rains most from November until January. Thunderstorms can occur during April-May and October-November. The driest period is May-July. The sunniest month is February.
Flights
Travel Help recommends you to use www.reseguiden.se when you are planning your flights. Use the +/- 3 days menu and fetch all flight costs. An overview of all costs for different departure and return dates immediately gives you information about which travel dates you should avoid due to high flight costs. You also get an indication of which travel dates have the lowest costs, especially if some low cost air companies only fly on some week days.
The example below was for 2012 and the search was done for flights from Gothenburg. Book your flights as early as possible to get the lowest prices. You should book your flights before Christmas if you want the absolute best flight prices for the next year.

Transfer between airport and hostel
If you're coming from Changi International Airport, the most economical way is to take the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train.
Subway ( Green, East West line ): Changi Airport => Tanah Merah
Subway ( Green, East West line towards Joo Koon ): Tanah Merah, platform B => Outram
Subway ( Purple, North East line towards Punggol ): Outram => Clarke Quay
Walk: Clarke Quay MRT => Hostel
At the station lookout for EXIT E and you will see Central Mall. Cross the overhead bridge and turn right at the end of the stairs and walk in the same direction as the flow of traffic. In 200m you will see Hongkong Street. Look out for the Yellow Building. Take the stairs to the 4th floor. (Please note that we are located on the 4th floor of a heritage shop house without a lift.)
Two alternatives:
-Proceed to the 'Ground Transport Desk' at the arrival terminal to catch a bus
shuttle at $9/adult directly to the doorstep of River City Inn. 24-hr service.
-Hop in the cab and tell the cab driver 33C Hongkong street and you should be
at our doorstep within 20 minutes if the traffic is good!
