Flights  ( 5 nights, Wednesday => Monday )

Travel Help recommends you to use www.reseguiden.se when you are planning your flights for a long-weekend in Europe. Use the +/- 3 days menu and fetch all flight costs. Some costs for weekend departures are missing which seems to be a program error. Most likely you want to travel before Saturday and Sunday and in such a case this error has minor importance. An overview of all costs for different departure and return dates immediately gives you information about which travel dates you should avoid due to high flight costs. You also get an indication of which travel dates have the lowest costs, especially if some low cost air companies only fly on some week days.

The example below was for 2012 and the search was done on 2012-02-23 for flights from Gothenburg. Book your flights as early as possible to get the lowest prices. You should book your flights before Christmas if you want the absolute best flight prices for the next year.

Flight (Ryanair) on Wednesday: Gothenburg/City Airport 09:30 => Paris/Beauvais-Tillé 11:45

Flight (Ryanair) on Monday: Paris/Beauvais-Tillé 12:10 => Gothenburg/City Airport 14:25

The price in this example is 988 SEK + additional fees on 2012-02-23 for flights in June.

The member information contains further information on how you get the absolute lowest flight prices!

23 kilometres northeast of Paris near the village of Roissy-en-France is Charles de Gaulle airport. The largest airport serving Paris, it has two terminals, the second of which is split into terminals 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D. Most international flights to Paris arrive and depart from Roissy-CGD (as it is known).

Transfer between airport and hostel

Bus: Charles-de-Gaulle => RER/TGV station ( ? SEK )

An RER/TGV station now serves the airport directly. You will have to take a bus from the terminal to the RER/TGV station. Sometimes it is also possible to walk.

Train: RER/TGV station => Gare du Nord Station ( ? SEK )

Trains leave every 15 minutes during the hours of 5h30 - 23h30 to downtown (see the http://www.paris.org/Metro/gifs/metro.pdf ).

From Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport (45 Minutes) - Catch the RER B toward Saint Remy les Chevreuses and get off at Gare du Nord Station.

Metro: Gare du Nord Station => Lumi’re station ( ? SEK )

Catch line 5 towards Bobigny-Pablo-Picasso and get off at Lumi’re station.

A five zone PARIS METRO PASS is also sufficient to get you into downtown Paris from Roissy-CDG Airport. You may also buy a single use ticket to downtown at the RER/TGV station at the airport. Travel time is 35 minutes to Gare du Nord.

Walk: Lumi’re station => St. Christopher's

The next closest Metro station is Laumi’re on Line 5. From Laumi’re station take exit no. 1 and as you come up the stairs continue to walk straight down Avenue Jean Jaur’s for about 250 metres and then turn left onto Rue de Crimée (look for the sign saying ‘Bassin de la Villette’). Follow Rue de Crimée for about 200 meters and you will find us in the brand new building beside the canal (just after you cross the bridge). Look for the large ‘St Christopher’s Inns’ & ‘Belushi’s’ signs.
