Flights ( 3 nights, Thursday => Sunday )

Travel Help recommends you to use www.reseguiden.se when you are planning your flights for a long-weekend in Europe. Use the +/- 3 days menu and fetch all flight costs. Some costs for weekend departures are missing which seems to be a program error. Most likely you want to travel before Saturday and Sunday and in such a case this error has minor importance. An overview of all costs for different departure and return dates immediately gives you information about which travel dates you should avoid due to high flight costs. You also get an indication of which travel dates have the lowest costs, especially if some low cost air companies only fly on some week days.

The example below was for 2012 and the search was done on 2012-02-23 for flights from Gothenburg. Book your flights as early as possible to get the lowest prices. You should book your flights before Christmas if you want the absolute best flight prices for the next year.

Flight (SAS) on Thursday: Gothenburg/Landvetter 13:20 => Prague/Ruzyne 14:45

Flight (SAS) on Sunday: Prague/Ruzyne 15:15 => Gothenburg/Landvetter 16:50

The price in this example is 2.163 SEK on 2012-02-23 for flights in June.

From Diary:

Outside there were both a normal information desk and another information desk for transportations such as metro, bus and tram. At the transportation information I bought a 7-day ticket since they didn't have any 5-day tickets. I also took a god information brochure with information of all communications in Prague. The ticket was valid on the metro and also on all trams and busses. The ticket cost 280 Czech crones. When I talk about crones later in this story I mean Czech crones. I was informed that there were two busses which went from the airport to the first metro station, 119 was the one I should take. The bus stop was just outside the airport, a little to the right, and marked with 119.

Bus: Ruzyne Airport => station 'Dejvická' ( ? SEK )

Take 119 bus and go to the final station 'Dejvická'.

From Diary:

The bus arrived soon and it took 20 minutes to the metro station.

Metro: Station 'Dejvická' => Station 'Muzeum' ( ? SEK )

Take metro line A (the green line) and go 5 stop to 'Muzeum'.

From Diary:

First there came one train on one of the two tracks but nobody seemed to jump on that train. Maybe it turned and came back on the other track. Some time later came a train on the track to the left and the people jumped on. A display on the train showed which station would be the next and inside on the walls you had also big schemas which showed you all the stations for the three metro lines. Everything was easy. I was going off at the Muzeum station which was the 5th station and it didn't take long time before you were there.

Walk: Station 'Muzeum' => Hostel Rosemary

Go down the Wenceslas square. Second street on the right side turn to the right to the Jindrisska street, walk straight in this street, on your right hand side you will pass the main post office and turn the second street on the right side and its street Ruzova. You will see the Antikvariat and R5 fit studio. On your left side no. 5 is Hostel Rosemary (same entrance as the R5 studio) - walk in the building and ring the bell at the gate.

About directions please read:

the nearest metro station is "Hlavni nadrazi" (red line C ) - get off the metro station - cross the park and walk little bit left - cross the street Opletalova and walk staight in street Růžová - on your right sind no. 5 is Hostel Rosemary - ring on the bell outside.
